The islamic calendar follows the sighting of the moon, the start of each month is based on this. That is the reason behind the crescent shape.
The collection can be bought as a two piece or one piece in 4 different designs. They are great for serving dates or any snacks & savouries, alongside a lovely scented candle.
The designs have been inspired by the Islamic art, which can be found in the mosques of Pakistan, & by the shades of blue and green which can be seen in the Arabian sea where Gwader sits, in the South West of Pakistan.
The platters are made from mango wood, with printed paper and a lacquer. By not having a tile, it keeps the platter light and less prone to breakage.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Just use a damp sponge to wipe the surface and a clean cloth to dry. Do not put in a dishwasher or immerse in washing up liquid.
